													LIVER CLEANSING – FULL PROTOCOL
⚠️ ATTENTION
You have to create a weekend or 2-days time in which you can have a complete and full rest, no problems, no appointments, only you and your body.
If you have often constipation problems, it is better do an enema before starting, to empty the colon as much as possible.
1. FREQUENCY
- Meat & alcohol consumers → every 2 months
- Vegetarians → once a year or less
2. INGREDIENTS
- Magnesium sulphate (Epsom salt) → 80 g (divided into 4 doses of 20 g each, dissolved in water). You can usually buy 3 sachets of 30g > you will use 80g in total (so 10g will be left over for the next time)
- Olive oil → 75 ml
- Fresh grapefruit juice → 100 ml
4. IMPORTANT NOTES
- During the whole cleanse (from Day 1 lunch until Day 2 lunch) → ONLY LIQUIDS.
- The Epsom salt will cause bowel movements → this is normal and part of the cleansing.
- Rest is essential; do not plan heavy activities.
PROCEDURE
FIRST DAY
- Last light meal (lunchtime):
Examples: grape juice, vegetable smoothie, vegetable broth with rice.
→ After this meal, no more solid food until the second day at lunch.
- 4:00 PM → Enema
- 6:00 PM → 1st dose: 20 g magnesium sulphate dissolved in half a glass of water - Note: Magnesium sulphate dilates internal vessels, reduces hunger, and has a natural laxative effect.

- 8:00 PM → 2nd dose: 20 g magnesium sulphate in water
- 10:00 PM → Drink the oil + grapefruit mixture - 75 ml olive oil + 100 ml fresh grapefruit juice, shaken together in a jar until emulsified.
- Drink immediately, then lie down horizontally on your back and do not get up again.
- For the first 20 minutes, keep your hands raised above your head.
- If you fall asleep before 20 minutes, no problem: just relax completely.
- During the night, gallstones and deposits from the common bile duct and duodenum will be released into the intestine.

SECOND DAY
- Morning → Resume magnesium sulphate doses - 8:00 AM → 3rd dose: 20 g in water
- 10:00 AM → 4th dose: 20 g in water

- 12:00 Noon → Fresh orange juice with a spoon of honey - From this point, gradually reintroduce light food (juices, soups, vegetables).

- What to expect: - You may see irregular green “peas” floating in the toilet → these are gallstones.
- Dark stones = old; whitish stones = recent.
- Skin may look brighter, body feels lighter.

⚠️ RESPECTFUL NOTE
For diabetics and insulin-dependent individuals: this cleanse is not recommended.
Please, respect each person’s condition and do not push anyone to attempt liver cleansing.

Why Liver Cleansing is Important
The Role of the Liver
- The liver is the largest gland in the human body (about 1.5 kg).
- It is the main blood filter: everything absorbed by the intestines passes through the liver before circulating in the body.
- Functions: - Produces bile to digest fats and eliminate toxins.
- Regulates the metabolism of sugars, proteins, and fats.
- Stores vitamins and minerals.
- Neutralizes toxins, alcohol, drugs, and chemicals.

- When overloaded by poor diet, stress, or toxins, the liver can develop bile sludge and gallstones, which reduce its efficiency.
Why Liver Cleansing Helps
- Gallstones and bile deposits obstruct the bile ducts.
- This blockage reduces bile flow, which may cause: - Poor digestion (bloating, constipation, heaviness).
- Low energy and fatigue.
- Skin problems (acne, dull complexion).
- Reduced detoxification capacity.

- Cleansing helps the liver and gallbladder to function freely again, increasing vitality.
Why Olive Oil and Grapefruit Juice?
- Olive Oil: triggers a strong contraction of the gallbladder, forcing out bile and stones.
- Grapefruit Juice: - Emulsifies the olive oil, making it easier to digest.
- Stimulates bile production.
- Enhances the cleansing effect and makes the drink more palatable.

Why Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt)?
- Relaxes and dilates the bile ducts → allowing stones to pass more easily without pain.
- Has a natural laxative effect → cleans the intestines, ensuring that the stones and toxins released do not remain in the digestive tract.
- Prevents spasms of the bile ducts → making the process smoother and safer.
- By emptying the colon, it avoids reabsorption of toxins.
👉 In summary:
- Epsom salt opens and clears the way.
- Olive oil + grapefruit trigger the release of bile and stones.
- The result is a cleaner, stronger, more efficient and healthy liver.
